The Doctrinal Views of Friendship Baptist Church.

Running After Religious Fanatics.
Running after religious fanatics who come up with some new or “rediscovered” doctrine reminds me of the old farmer, who when asked what was the matter with his hogs, he replied, “When I lost my voice a year ago I could not call them to their feed, so I got a big stick and hammered on the crib.
They soon learned that I was calling them to their corn. They were doing well until three weeks ago when some woodpecker came in here and went to pound on the old dead tree.
My hogs ran in the direction of the noise, thinking it was my call to their feed. When the hogs came running and squealing, they frightened woodpeckers would fly to another dead tree, and the hogs would run to another part of the woods.
They have just about run my hogs to death.” I hope the church will cease running after the religious woodpeckers.
Much so-called “new thought” is old nonsense.

A. I want to break these four verses down.

Paul tells Timothy to continue thou in the things that thou has learned.
He is telling Timothy not to change.
To stick to the Doctrine you have learned.
Last Sunday I preached on “Fear of Uncertainty”
I talked about uncertainty is the real fear in a persons life.
Uncertainty of your Salvation. (Answering the question? I’m I really saved?)
Misconception about Salvation. (People putting works into Salvation)
I talked about going back to your Conversion. (Remembering the events surrounding your Salvation)
I talked about Eternal Security. (One you accept Jesus Christ, You can never lose it)
This morning I want to talk about a very important subject.
DOCTRINE
The Bible tell us to teach doctrine, not just doctrine, but sound doctrine.
“DOCTRINE” Is a belief or a set of beliefs held and taught by a church, political party, or other groups.
“SOUND DOCTRINE” is what we teach, believes base out of the King James 1611 Bible.
This morning I going to cover the Core Bible Doctrines of Friendship Baptist Church.
Then I’m to break them down so, that each person here will understand
The Doctrines that Friendship Baptist Church believes and makes it’s stand.

The Doctrinal Statement of Friendship Baptist Church of Sheridan Arkansas.

We believe that there is One God, Eternally existent in three persons.
God the Father

God the Holy Spirit
We believe that there is ONE GOD, the creator of the world.

This is called the Rapture, and it happens before the Great Tribulation and after the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
