Only One??

Prone to think one is insignificant
One invitation can change everything
The Gospel can change everything
Romans 1:16 CSB
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.
The Richness of the Gospel
we don’t save - we can’t change ourselves
Remember your story - “Thanks to Calvary”
The gospel saves - Roman road
We have the greatest riches - the pearl
Matthew 13:45–46 CSB
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls. When he found one priceless pearl, he went and sold everything he had and bought it.
Come and See
john - Phillip and Nathaniel
Invitation - not an argument - John
20% of believers will invite another believer
2% will invite an unbeliever
vs 47 -49 - outcome of an invitation
come and see - go and tell
Finding the One
be intentional - won’t just happen
find accountability - find partners
continue to grow in maturity - accept Christ’s identity - embrace His mission
Go and Tell
Challenge - Each one bring one
75 million visited Central Florida
Over 30,000 live within 5 miles
only 14% attend church
Over the next year:
Invite one unchurched to a meal and share your testimony
Invite one unchurched neighbor over and have someone tell their story
Invite one unchurched to church with you
2 Corinthians 3:2–3 CSB
You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are Christ’s letter, delivered by us, not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God—not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Recognize and Repent of Excuses
personal growth issues - bad theology, lack of scripture knowledge , spiritual lethargy
self preservation - not a priority/busyness, fear of rejection, desire to get along /be tolerant
disobedience - fail to invite, lack of witnessing, just saying no
Evangelism is not a professional job for a few trained men, but is instead the unrelenting responsibility of every person who belongs to the company of Jesus.
D. Elton Trueblood
