God’s Church is a Mother

When a Mother fears God

Mothers’ are strong and dignified.

brings comfort

A mother who fears God is going to find her strength in the almighty and she is going to be an heir through the work and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because she finds her strength in the Lord and her dignity in Jesus she is able to comfort those entrusted to her care. She does not require the hurting to be better before she loves them but loves them through the hurt. God calls us to comfort the hurting as in “ Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. “

Mothers’ are secure in what is to come.

provision of food, clothing, and shelter

A mother who fears God is going to cast her worries upon Jesus. She is not going to be heavy laden but will seek to be yoked with Christ. There will be security when mothers rest in the will of God and increase their trust in him. In this healthy environment children flourish and grow. The our church is a secure place giving space to fail and succeed.

Mothers’ are wise.

training in the knowledge and insight of the Lord

A mother who fears God is going to be ever in God’s Word. She is also going to embed scripture into her life. Embedding the bible means to see where the Holy Spirit is working in her life to sanctify her and give then give testimony to that work. Embedding the bible also means to quote, reference, and paraphrase scripture at every possible opportunity.

Mothers’ work is fruitful.

growing and maturing

A mother who fears God is going to grow and mature spiritually. She does this daily by learning to love God with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength. Growing in that love is the life long journey of discipleship moving one step closer to Jesus day by day.

sending out

Mothers’ children recognized that she is blessed.

rejoice in the the gift from God that mothers are to us.

Mothers’ fear the Lord.

Mothers’ are to be celebrated as they reflect the glory of God.
