John 14:27 KJV 1900
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Isaiah 9:6 KJV 1900
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: And the government shall be upon his shoulder: And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
John 16:33 KJV 1900
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
1st “The Accepted Cross”
I leave (to be indulgent towards, forgive)
1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV 1900
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
2nd “The Ascended Christ”
I give: (to give; to hand down; to set, place, lay; to allow)
John 16:7 KJV 1900
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
3rd “The Attempted Crutch”
Not as the world giveth

2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

A. The Afflicted Character - to be troubled

to be horrified; to be out of one’s senses; make haste; to terrify

Things which are out of our hands to fix or finish.
B. The Affected Christian- be afraid

to be shattered, filled with terror; to dishearten; to shatter

Golden State Warriors last night took Portland’s heart away.
C. The Able Challenger- says “let it” twice in this verse.
Ex: First time in open wheel modified dirt car.
D. The All Important Choice- Will you let Jesus save you and fill you with power from Heaven.
Power over death, hell and the grave. Any worldly issue will then be just a bump in the road by comparison as we rejoice in the Hope of Glory.
