In episode 3 i explained how the communicable attributes are sourced from God. That is, God shares and/or deals relates to us through a relate-able capacity.
In this episode, I’m going to speak about the spirituality of God. What is God? Ever stop to think about that? In substance, what is God? However, the way you answer this question has major implications and consequences.
I. In it says: “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
In it says: “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Note that Jesus declares the substance of God and the medium of access
a. Note that Jesus declares the substance of God and the medium of access
God is Spirit
He permits worship (access) via spirit
Note that Jesus has a body, even material.. but remains spiritual. In essence God is spirit and has a spiritual body. When speaking about the God head, he has no form and form (since the fullness of God dwells in Christ).
This distinction is important because the manner and from we worship God must change after conversion.
Worship recieved by God must be done in spirit, not in the flesh. Let me take the opportunity to explain what is meant by worshipping God in Spirit and not Flesh.
When the scripture speaks of the flesh, it is speaking about the fallen nature that dwells with you and in you. The flesh is natural but also is the instinctual part of your life.
So do you remember when you were walking and stubbed your toe on the corner wall and yelled **&#*$*?
Did you need to mentally decide to yell? Or did you just yell out &&$&*#
Remember when you first got cut off in the highway and yelled &**$%#?
Your flesh is the natural side of you, your nature, your inclination of what to do. It is why the wrong thing to do often seems right.
Note the flesh has a natural inclination a desire. And its desire opposes the Spirit . The opposition is intended to prevent you from doing what you “like”.
The function of the flesh is to provide a avenue for you to emotionally operate and desire the things that oppose God.
It is why we Divorce, under the illusion of freedom at the expense of adultery
It is why we cheat, under illusion of fulfillment at the expense of adultery
It is why we lie, under the fulfillment of cover at the expense of gain
It is why we steal, under fulfillment of greed at the expense of idolatry
But what happens when we take this discipline into our walk with Christ?
We began to operate in a arena that uses our natural inclinations as a spiritual guide.
In worship, we attempt to identify through our flesh
By over emphasizing the “environment”
By over emphasizing the music styles
By emphasizing our desires in the lyrics: Our pain, our experience, our tears, our suffering. Often completely bypassing His suffering and pain on the cross.
In our prayer, we attempt to identify with natural desire
Our needs, wants, circumstances: Note im not saying we should not make requests. I am saying that what often motivates us is a crisis that places us at the center of problem and solution.
Suffice it to say, then when attempting to connect our life with God. The flesh is not the agent we should be using.

19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: aimmorality, impurity, sensuality,

20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, dfactions,

21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

What Paul is stating the flesh is the responsible agent for you getting involved with all things related to:
immoral, impure, sensual, strife, jealousy, anger, disputes, dissensions, factions envying, drunkenness, carousing, drunkeness
Because of this carnal inclination, God rejects the agency of the flesh to worship him. He will not wrestle with the flesh

is often misunderstood. So in terms of materially, Go even in the case of Jesus. The body of Jesus is physical, but in its resurrected state it remains a heavenly body. Meaning, it is still a spiritual body and not an earthly one.
