Mountain-Moving Faith
Scripture
“Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea; and does not doubt in his heart, but believes what He says is going to happen, it shall be granted him”
Matthew 11:25–26 NASB95
At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. “Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.
Matthew 11:23 NASB95
“And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will descend to Hades; for if the miracles had occurred in Sodom which occurred in you, it would have remained to this day.
"Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven may forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions’” (5)

The Scriptures give us a clear perspective on faith that can move mountains. It falls neatly into three responsibilities I must accept in order to position my heart to receive God’s promise.
Mountain-moving faith is activated when you:
“… do not doubt in your own heart ”
My first responsibility is to work out the doubts in my own heart! If I am praying for a mountain to be removed but have doubts yet lodged within, then I cannot pray with faith until those are resolved. Whatever research you need to collect, due diligence you must complete, or the cost you need to count, all this must be fulfilled before you can pray with faith and confidence.
“… but believes what you say will come to pass …”
You must believe in my own words. You need to gain full confidence in what you say. For you cannot believe deeply in your own words, then you have not acquired the integrity necessary for God to honor. Mountain-moving faith is never mixed with anything less than integrity.
“But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions.”
God will not bring things to pass if it bypasses healthy relationships. Ongoing forgiveness is the barometer of sustainable relationships. Don’t shortcut this one if you need mountain-moving faith.
