1 God arises. His enemies scatter, and those who hate him flee from his presence.
35 Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say: Arise, Lord! Let your enemies be scattered, and those who hate you flee from your presence.
ps 68
4 Sing to God! Sing praises to his name. Exalt him who rides on the clouds— his name is the Lord—and celebrate before him.
26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
7 Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. So it is to be. Amen.
5 God in his holy dwelling is a father of the fatherless and a champion of widows.
17 Do not deny justice to a resident alien or fatherless child, and do not take a widow’s garment as security.
to bring to remembrance
For the choir director. Of David. To bring remembrance.
1 God, hurry to rescue me. Lord, hurry to help me!
2 Let those who seek to kill me be disgraced and confounded; let those who wish me harm be turned back and humiliated.
3 Let those who say, “Aha, aha!” retreat because of their shame.
4 Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let those who love your salvation continually say, “God is great!”
5 I am oppressed and needy; hurry to me, God. You are my help and my deliverer; Lord, do not delay.
psalm 70
Jesus said love one another. Our love for other believers should be unmatched
Relationships in Heaven
9 “As the Father has loved me, I have also loved you. Remain in my love.
10 If you keep my commands you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
11 “I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.
12 “This is my command: Love one another as I have loved you.
13 No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends.
14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.
15 I do not call you servants anymore, because a servant doesn’t know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father.
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you.
17 “This is what I command you: Love one another.
9-
11 For this is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another,
8 Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.
8 Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
12 No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God remains in us and his love is made complete in us.
13 This is how we know that we remain in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.

Old Testament

1 Peter
18 Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord.
11 “Do not steal. Do not act deceptively or lie to one another.
Lev 19
A psalm of David.
1 I will sing of faithful love and justice; I will sing praise to you, Lord.
2 I will pay attention to the way of integrity. When will you come to me? I will live with a heart of integrity in my house.
3 I will not let anything worthless guide me. I hate the practice of transgression; it will not cling to me.
4 A devious heart will be far from me; I will not be involved with evil.
5 I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor; I cannot tolerate anyone with haughty eyes or an arrogant heart.
6 My eyes favor the faithful of the land so that they may sit down with me. The one who follows the way of integrity may serve me.
7 No one who acts deceitfully will live in my palace; the one who tells lies will not be retained here to guide me.
8 Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, wiping out all evildoers from the Lord’s city.
