22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
Will everyone who goes to church go to heaven? Will every member of GBC make it? I would like to think that if the rapture occurred on a Sunday morning during our main service, that the room would be completely emptied, but acc’d to this parable that would be highly unlikely.
It’s a simple parable, but carries with it a profound truth.
Matt 13:24-30
Matt 13
24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”
First lets look at this passage Who is this enemy that he is referring to in this Parable
The Devil of course Who comes to Kill steal and Destroy the one who is like a lion waiting to see who he may devour.
Why is that important you may ask?
Because He is a Liar he is fooling the church into believing his lies by infiltration of the church
He comes dressed in a nice neat package of inclusiveness, social justice, the feminist movement the homosexuality movement.
He attempts to get the Church to accept the lies to water down Scripture so that it becomes unrecognizable
We are in a crisis of Easy believism
Prosperity Preaching , Every thing is ok Im ok ok your ok everyone is ok. Now in the surface it sounds good but it is unbiblical. and anything not of God is of the enemy
This was so forien to the disciples so they asked the Lord Jesus for clarification Listen to His response:
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
Matt 13:
Examine yourself Am I a Tare
2 COR
5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
SOMETIMES THE HARDEST THING WE CAN DO IS TO LOOK AT OUR SELF IN THE MIRROR
We look at that new wrinkle
We see that grey hair in our beard
We notice we just are not as pretty as we once were
But what about when we look into the mirror of the Bible
We see the ugliness the sinfulness the unworthiness the need for a saviour
While we are all sinners we ought to have the things of God in our heart not the things of Man
Where do your priorities Lie with the World or with God in His Son for His Kingdom!
22 I hate them with perfect hatred;
I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
Am I a Wheat or am I a tare?
2. Are you asleep?
But while he slept . The enemy works when we sleep Sin grows in the Darkness
Most go through Life asleep of the things of God Why? No self examination
Its not you..... its them shhh go back to sleep this is how the enemy works our society today is filled with this very mindset its never my fault but I know who’s it is never owning their mistake constantly blaming others
We as a church for too long have been asleep we have let sin weave its self in the church in a way that we accept it just a little at a time
We must take a stand for biblical righteousness and not just the emotional out cry from the social justice crowd
We cannot be afraid to call sin a sin
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Sacrifice the pleasures of the World for the Holiness of Christ.................this is what God requires of us
1Peter 1
14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;
1 Peter
14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
1 John 3:3
3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
Am I a Tare!!!!!!! Am I playing Church going through the motions saying the right things does pride dominate your life or humbleness
3. Good news for the Tares
While a tare cannot repent and be changed a sinner can.
6 Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
Repentance is not a recommendation but a requirement of God
Repent for the hour of the Lord is at Hand!
America is #1 distributor of the Gospel also # 1 in distributing Pornography
In America the bible is the number one best selling book but in America we have a sexual perversion epidimic
America healthy marriages founded in God built this country and Divorce filled by pride and selfishness is eating it away.
We Quote the bible but fail to obey it
We smile at church but anger dominates out homes
The Church has been asleep to long Wake up Stand for the Godly things
Eph 5:
14 Therefore He says:
“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
Jesus said take up your cross and follow me this is the act of sacrificing your ambitions for the Kingdoms your dreams for the dreams of the father your desires for the desire to see more people come to know the Lord Jesus for one to be incomplete submission to the Lordship of Christ this is what Jesus ment
Pick up your Cross and follow me would you allow your self to be sacrificed as I did for you on that Cross to live again as I lived for you to serve the Kingdom of God for not only the betterment of your Life but the betterment of the lives that you will inherently touch
Will you make that sacrifice today
Is today the day that you desire to be right with the almighty God that sacrificed everything for you!
if it is as we pray will you repeat after me
Lord Jesus I know that I am a sinner Lord I am so sorry for the selfishness in my life Lord I ask that you would forgive me of my Sin That I believe that you went to the cross willing lay to lay down your life so that my sin could be taken by your blood. That you rose again to life in the third day I am willing to sacrifice my desires because you sacrificed everything for me. Lord Jesus would you come into my heart and change me that I may die to myself but live for you and the Kingdom of God for all my days in your precious name Jesus Amen
