God Is Good and Loving, God Is In Control, and God Knows All Things.

Deedie, Stormy, we love you guys and although this is a hard time, you need to know that you are not alone in this. And although we don’t know what has happened to Brandon, or where he is, we do know for sure, God Loves you guys, God is with you— always, and God knows All Things. And I pray that you guys will find comfort in these truths.

I would like to walk us through the Gospel message of salvation. Brandon missing is a result of the fallen world we live in that is caused by a sin nature that is in all of us.

And although we don’t know what has happened to Brandon, or where he is, we for sure, God Loves you guys, God is with you always, and God knows All Things. I would like to talk about these three things for just a minute to try and help us make sense of this situation that you guys have been going through for so long.

And when doubts arise about Gods love for you us by looking at the Bible and our condition and what He did to fix our condition.

God is Love:

I would like to touch on thes

We can know that God is Loving by looking at ourselves or our condition, and what God did to fix this in us.

tells us that this problem of sin is in all of humanity

3 For I know my transgressions,

and my sin is ever before me.

4 Against you, you only, have I sinned

and done what is evil in your sight,

tells us that this problem of sin is in all of humanity

so that you may be justified in your words

and blameless in your judgment.

5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,

and in sin did my mother conceive me.

tells us that this problem of sin was not just Davids problem but all of humanity

No One Is Righteous

9 What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, 10 as it is written:

“None is righteous, no, not one;

11 no one understands;

no one seeks for God.

12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;

no one does good,

not even one.”

and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

And no one has an excusse to

All mankind has a condition, a sickness— and we needed someone to heal us from this condition of sin. We cannot heal our selves from this sickness. But God had a good plan a loving plan

Here is where God’s Love comes into play

For God So Loved the World

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

God gave His son to die on a cross for our sins, so that we could be righteous— what a loving God we have. We can contribute nothing to Jesus finished work.

8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We sinners deserve death, But Christ out of His love— died for us.

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If we remain in our sin, we will experience spiritual and physical death.

But 9... if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (ESV)

This good news, this is how we know that God is loving and good, because he saved a wretch like me and you.

And as followers of God, we know that He is with us in our hard times

Brandon going missing like he did, I can imagine causes feelings of fear and anxiety at times. And although I don’t understand, nor do I claim to understand what you guys are going through I have some Bible versus that remind us God is with us.

Jesus said that He is the Good Shepherd in John chapter 10 and He said, “The Good Shepherd lays His life down for His sheep”

Jesus will not leave you alone to face this world by yourself, and He knows all things from the beginning of time.

One final word of encouragement. God is the savior. We not giving up hope for Brandon’s safe return— God is all powerful, He raised Lazarus from the dead after four days, and He raised himself from the dead after three days, But If it is not Gods plan for Brandon to return— God is the savior, and God through the cross saves the most retched people and I am a proof of that, and you are a proof of that, and Brandon may be a proof of that, because God is Good and He loves to answer the prayers of His people.
