Purpose To Be Married For Life
A. Definition Marriage may be defined as that lifelong and exclusive state in which a man and a woman are wholly commited to live with each other in sexual relationship under conditions normally witnessed to by their social group or society.
Although Christian opinion is divided on the necessity of sexual intercourse for validating marriage, Paul plainly taught that it is the specific act by which man and woman become one flesh.
MARRIAGE VOWS:
THE MINISTER TO THE MAN:
(Name) , do you take this woman to be your wedded
wife?
And do you earnestly promise, before God and these
witnesses, that you will love her, comfort her, honor and
keep her in sickness and in health; and that, forsaking all
others for her alone, you will perform unto her all the respect that a husband owes to his wife, until God,
by death shall separate you?
MAN: "I will"

Marriage is an earthly assignment..
Too many think of marriage as a convenience instead of a commitment for life.
If they should get tired of the relationship, they simply trade the present mate in for a new one, much like trading cars.
We need to love one another the same way that God loves us—forever.
God loves us no matter what the circumstance or the convenience.
He never gives up on us.
In loving our mates, we say to them, “I will love you forever!”
We Must Purpose To be Married For Life
Try this: With your mate decide that your marriage is for life, not for the moment.
Discuss what you may be doing together five years from now, twenty or even thirty years from now.
See yourselves spending all of life loving each other.
