Challenged by the relationship between prayer and faith
The reason for understanding the Lord’s prayer is so that we can align our expectations and longings to God’s will, and therefore see God answering our prayer - leads to more faith
Gives grounds for faith, because we know that God has revealed what is important, and what He has committed Himself to answering
God’s will and heaven
To understand both the heart of the petition, and the standard (“in heaven”) must look back at creation narrative
Notice in the constant phrase “And God saw that it was good”, ending off with “God saw…that it was very good”.
God’s creation was perfect and flawless and WAS WITH PURPOSE AND INTENTION
