The ark traveled with Israelites through the wilderness for 40 years. Exodus-Deuteronomy

We find the ark back in Shiloh with no explanation of how it got there.

David tries to move ark. Uzzah dies. Ark is taken to Obed-edom’s house for 3 months.

Zadok tries to bring ark as King David and allies flee from King David’s enemies but King David tells them to return it.
24 And Abiathar came up, and behold, Zadok came also with all the Levites, bearing the ark of the covenant of God. And they set down the ark of God until the people had all passed out of the city. 25 Then the king said to Zadok, “Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me back and let me see both it and his dwelling place.
Solomon asks for wisdom. Goes to the ark.

And he arose and went to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” Then Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy. 9 Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down, and if he calls you, you shall say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant hears.’ ” So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10 And the Lord came and stood, calling as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears.”

Time and again we see God in the old testament prove himself all powerful
