Cycle of the seed
Basics about seed
Every seed has life
Every seed has potential
Every seed has more in it than can be seen
The only way to get it out of it what is in it is to put it in the right environment.
The scene has been revisited in my mind. not only because of amazed at what was happening. You sow into what you see. Where you are. What you want. Where you want to go?
I want to ask why did you give?
Option 1: Because your neighbor?
Option 2: BeCUASE
Your energy needs to be flipped to the why behind you gave or committed to giving.
Address people giving during the offering. It should be an act of urgency. [find a scripture to support]
The urgency to sow.
It’s for that reason you flip the intention! Don’t give just to get us there, give because of why you want to get us there!
It’s different
Describe my role in the house.

Ill Q was a kid use to only eat chicken and rice. The building blocks we’rent there. He was going to be missing nutrients to grow. Sub point: have you noticed this watery presentation. It dawned on me, you don’t have to have substance for the principle of seed time and harvest to work. Prob: sheep determining what they want to eat and you won’t grow.

If I could go back, I’d want every person to see Opportunity.
My assignment today is to empower you to change the trajectory of your future by getting you to understand seed. There is nothing that any man can do to void the principles of sowing.
Opportunity for a Harvest
Opportunity for a Harvest
“Today is the father of tomorrow.” - Charles Stanley 6th Life Principle
oday is the father of tomorrow.
Every farmer understands the meaning of this principle: We reap what we sow, more than we sow, and later than we sow.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
Gal 6
7 Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—8 harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.
gal 6:7-8
Never forget this: When you have the opportunity to sow
Kind (in this case, rest, dream trip, honor)
More: the nature of the word in and of itself “harvest” paints a picture.
Later: Every seed has a life cycle. It takes a certain amount of time for it to mature

“The Bamboo is amazing. You water it and wait. You wait an entire year and nothing appears. No bud, no twig, nothing.
“So you keep watering and protecting the area and taking care of the future plant. You wait another year. Still, nothing happens.
“Another year passes, and still no sign of growth. It has been three years. Should you give up? Someone told you that it might take a while to really see the fruits of your efforts, so you keep on keeping on.
“Another year passes. No plant.
“You begin year number five with the same passion as day number one. You keep watering and keep waiting. Finally, after five years, the Bamboo starts growing-and in six weeks, it grows to over 80 feet tall! Yes, 80 feet in six weeks! Well, not really. It is 80 feet in five years.
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Revelation: Reaping the harvest and helping people and raising people is all governed by the same Lord!

Opportunity to Help
Opportunity to Help
Paul in the NT
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 14 Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress. 15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. 16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.
vs. 16 “necessity” “need”
71.23 χρείαb, ας f: that which should be or happen, with the implication of need or lack to be made up—‘need, what should be.’ πάλιν χρείαν ἔχετε τοῦ διδάσκειν ὑμᾶς τινά ‘yet you need to have someone to teach you’ He 5:12.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
translation: If you didn’t do it, it wouldn’t get done.

1 Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, 2 and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, 3 and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.

I think the law of the Seed is what keeps lots of churches packed. Not the word, not the mission or vision that people can partner with but because of the return they get on their harvest.

30 The best of all firstfruits of any kind, and every sacrifice of any kind from all your sacrifices, shall be the priest’s; also you shall give to the priest the first of your ground meal, to cause a blessing to rest on your house.

78 It is possible that κατευλογέω is somewhat more emphatic than εὐλογέωb, but this cannot be determined from existing contexts.

17 And it shall be, whenever they enter the gates of the inner court, that they shall put on linen garments; no wool shall come upon them while they minister within the gates of the inner court or within the house. 18 They shall have linen turbans on their heads and linen trousers on their bodies; they shall not clothe themselves with anything that causes sweat. 19 When they go out to the outer court, to the outer court to the people, they shall take off their garments in which they have ministered, leave them in the holy chambers, and put on other garments; and in their holy garments they shall not sanctify the people. 20 “They shall neither shave their heads, nor let their hair grow long, but they shall keep their hair well trimmed. 21 No priest shall drink wine when he enters the inner court. 22 They shall not take as wife a widow or a divorced woman, but take virgins of the descendants of the house of Israel, or widows of priests. 23 “And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. 24 In controversy they shall stand as judges, and judge it according to My judgments. They shall keep My laws and My statutes in all My appointed meetings, and they shall hallow My Sabbaths. 25 “They shall not defile themselves by coming near a dead person. Only for father or mother, for son or daughter, for brother or unmarried sister may they defile themselves. 26 After he is cleansed, they shall count seven days for him. 27 And on the day that he goes to the sanctuary to minister in the sanctuary, he must offer his sin offering in the inner court,” says the Lord God. 28 “It shall be, in regard to their inheritance, that I am their inheritance. You shall give them no possession in Israel, for I am their possession. 29 They shall eat the grain offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering; every dedicated thing in Israel shall be theirs. 30 The best of all firstfruits of any kind, and every sacrifice of any kind from all your sacrifices, shall be the priest’s; also you shall give to the priest the first of your ground meal, to cause a blessing to rest on your house. 31 The priests shall not eat anything, bird or beast, that died naturally or was torn by wild beasts.

Grandad planted what he had to get what he wanted. He could’ve bought the lot across the street, but he was satisfied with what his garden was producing.
Always MORE
Mr. Lanier owned the mill. They made textiles. He’d bring in cotton by the truck loads. The mill supplied local stores with towels, under garments, clothes. Mr. Lanier owned the most land in the valley. He had 100s of families that worked for him. In order for him to support the families, meet the need he had to plant more.
They both reaped a harvest. But they reaped a harvest commensurate to what they sowed. If you’re not ok w what you have, sow where you want to go.
