When I first went over to Scott’s house, his mom was like the character on Cheers, Vera, Norm’s wife
Her home, always welcoming just around the corner from Michigan Heights.

Carol struggled in this life. Yet remarkably, she and her husband maintained their marriage through it all. And she raised a remarkable son.
Ephesians 6:2–3 CSB
2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, 3 so that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in the land.
Scott, you honored your parents, taking care of them earlier than any of your friends, helping them with a house, working to have them well cared for.
It’s now time to continue to honor them by following the Lord into this new life.
This life where you just like Jesus have no place to lay your head, yes you have a home, many actually but as you’ve said freedom.
