1 Samuel 2:21 NKJV
21 And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the Lord.
Samuel grew up in the presence of God.
As a result God didn’t let a his words fall to the ground.

19 So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.
God is revealed in His presence. Its easier to hear from God in His presence.
David loved and experienced God’s presence as much as any in the Old Testament.
2 Samuel 7:26 NKJV
26 So let Your name be magnified forever, saying, ‘The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel.’ And let the house of Your servant David be established before You.

The dynasty of David was established in His presence.
Like Moses, he wanted nothing to do with success at the expense of God’s presence.
When he sinned by committing adultery and murder his cry was

11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
This was God’s manifest presence.
David knew his life would be empty and meaningless outside of God’s presence. He penned this the words
