Paul said…

The Gospel produces faith / That faith is my foundation for salvation
and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God.
Paul encourages them to not be afraid in anything by your opponents!
Opposition will come your way. People will oppose you
How you respond is a sign to them of their destruction!
Your response is also a sign to you of your salvation (Spiritual growth)
That growth is only from God!
For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake,
To suffer with him exposes areas of our life that need to be conformed into him. (Example of Humility).
