B- Read Scripture

I. RELY ON THE PRESENCE AND POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AT ALL TIMES. ()

Acts 1:8a NLT
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

A. The presence of the Holy Spirit is with you at all times.

1. The Holy Spirit came to live in and with you at the moment you trusted Christ.
()
John 14:16–17 NLT
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.
()
Ephesians 1:13–14 NLT
13 And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. 14 The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.
2. The Lord has promised that He will never leave or forsake you.
()
Hebrews 13:5 NLT
5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”
3. The Holy Spirit will remain with you until you go home to Heaven.
()
Ephesians 1:14b NLT
14 The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

B. The power of the Holy Spirit is available to you at all times.

1. Jesus promised that the power of the Holy Spirit became available when He came “upon” you at salvation.
()
Acts 1:8a NLT
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
2. All of the power for you to carry out your mission in this life became available to you when you believed and will remain in your life until you leave this life.
· Paul was a prime example:
He had the power to share Jesus right after he was saved.
He shared Jesus throughout his life.
He shared Christ up until the time of his death.
The results: thousands won to Christ.
3. All that is necessary for you to access His power is to ask for it to be released.
a) ()
Matthew 7:7 NLT
7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
b) ()
John 15:16 NLT
16 You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
c) Note the example in Scripture:
· () ·
Acts 4:23–31 NLT
23 As soon as they were freed, Peter and John returned to the other believers and told them what the leading priests and elders had said. 24 When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— 25 you spoke long ago by the Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your servant, saying, ‘Why were the nations so angry? Why did they waste their time with futile plans? 26 The kings of the earth prepared for battle; the rulers gathered together against the Lord and against his Messiah.’ 27 “In fact, this has happened here in this very city! For Herod Antipas, Pontius Pilate the governor, the Gentiles, and the people of Israel were all united against Jesus, your holy servant, whom you anointed. 28 But everything they did was determined beforehand according to your will. 29 And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. 30 Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.

II. LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE CHRIST WITH OTHERS (, ).

o Phillip was a missionary to one man in a desert (),
o Paul was a missionary in a number of circumstances:
§ By the river ()
Acts 16:13 NLT
13 On the Sabbath we went a little way outside the city to a riverbank, where we thought people would be meeting for prayer, and we sat down to speak with some women who had gathered there.
§ On a ship during danger ()
§ While imprisoned ()
Acts 28:30–31 NLT
30 For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense. He welcomed all who visited him, 31 boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.

III- TAKE THE TIME TO SHARE THE MESSAGE OF CHRIST WHERE EVER YOU ARE. ()
