“Our Pro-Life God”
Nebuchadnezzar began his assault on Jerusalem to destroy it.
Jeremiah prophesied that God was giving Jerusalem into the hand of the king of Babylon.
Zedekiah, the king of Israel put Jeremiah in prison.
The Lord also commanded Jeremiah to buy a field from his cousin Hanamel.

But God promised He will restore the land to the Jews.

The Sovereign of Sorrows –
A. Babylonians batter the city’s walls –

The people who had worshipped idols by offering incense on the roof of their houses
2. Now were tearing down their homes to strengthen the walls of the city
B. God is Lord over the destruction

The children of Israel have done only evil from their youth to old age –
2. I will remove Jerusalem –
3. Is it too hard for God to judge the nation?
4. Unbelief doesn’t believe God can or will judge them –
II.
Defiance Against God –
A. Worship Corrupted –
1. False worship rests upon lies –
2. The leaders, politicians, and clergy proclaim lies

In our culture, we live in a “post-truth” era.
Post-Christian results in post-truth.
B. Our leaders refuse to acknowledge that the unborn in the womb is a human being –
1.
Some answer the question, when does life begin, by saying, “it is above my pay grade.”
2. The sonogram picture of the womb of a pregnant woman definitely portrays a “baby.”
3. Yet lies are forced on women:
It’s just tissue
It’s my body
It’s not a person yet
I have my right to privacy!
4. Those who promote abortion believe that women should not be saddled with a baby.
It keeps them from “progressing” in their lives –

Such a view distorts the identity of women, of the role of motherhood, and the importance of marriage

Does abortion allow people to go back to their life without consequence?
III.
Mighty to Save –
A. God will gather His people – 12 times God says, “I”

I will bring them back
2. I will cause them to dwell safely –
3. I will be their God and they shall by My people
B. I will unify My people: Only a God-sent revival will unite the United States
1.
They will fear Me for their good and their children –
2. I will make an everlasting covenant with them –
3. God will rejoice to do His people good and plant them in their land –
C. Fields will be bought –
1.
I will bring good on them
2. Jeremiah’s land purchase was a good deal!
God perseveres in our lives and always does good for His people –
