Spiritual Pattern Part 6
"For the entrance to the courtyard, make a curtain that is 30 feet long.
Make it from finely woven linen, and decorate it with beautiful embroidery in blue, purple, and scarlet thread.
Support it with four posts, each securely set in its own base.
All the posts around the courtyard must have silver rings and hooks and bronze bases.
So the entire courtyard will be 150 feet long and 75 feet wide, with curtain walls 7½ feet high, made from finely woven linen.
The bases for the posts will be made of bronze.
"All the articles used in the rituals of the Tabernacle, including all the tent pegs used to support the Tabernacle and the courtyard curtains, must be made of bronze.
INTRODUCTION
This is dealing with the Courtyard.
This Courtyard was 150 feet long and 75 feet wide and the wall are 7 1/2 feet high.
At the east end was the gate were the worshippers entered to the altar of burnt offering.
Now what I want you to see is the gate and fro this gate we can learn many lessons.
There is a Gate.
What a dark world this would have been had there been no way of entrance into the knowledge of and into fellowship with God!
"I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close.
You have little strength, yet you obeyed My word and did not deny Me.
But notice this:
There was only one gate.
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one can come to the Father except through Me.
Jesus said I am the way.
so He explained it to them: "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.
so He explained it to them: "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.
All who came before Me were thieves and robbers.
But the true sheep did not listen to them.
All who came before Me were thieves and robbers.
But the true sheep did not listen to them.
Yes, I am the gate.
Those who come in through Me will be saved.
They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.
Let me say it again there is only one way, we do not have different street and different directions but there is only one way.
For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.'
There is salvation in no one else!
God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved."
This was a wide gate.
It was the same size as the door or the veil.
what it lacked in height it had in width.
Height means greater or a more enlarged spiritual experience.
Breath indicated great liberty of access.
Whosoever will may come.
The gate of atonement is as wide as the world.
He Himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
The way of substitution is as straight as the new birth.
if few find it, it is because few there be there that seek it.
"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for.
Keep on seeking, and you will find.
Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives.
Everyone who seeks, finds.
And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
The way into life is straight in this sense, that it is the only way and that all who enter must have only one purpose in their heart, and that is to trust all to Jesus who died for our sins, open for all, yet only for those who seek atonement at the altar.
This was a strongly supported gate.
It hung on four pillars.
Remember veil has a these four pillars for support.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is supported by four infallible pillars.
Each holds up a different aspect of Jesus who is The way, The truth, and The Life.
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one can come to the Father except through Me.
Their names are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
Each one of these gospel support, the truth of God’s work through His Son Jesus Christ.
This gate was of the same material as the vail.
Fine-twined linen, blue, purple, and scarlet.
The Son of God, the sinless man, meets us at the gate of life.
He is here, to walk with us through the journey of this life.
He has made all the provision that we will need to go thru.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
The gate was the way into life.
When you walked into the courtyard, as you enter into right in front of you stand the altar of sacrifice.
It was impossible to pass in without coming within sight of God’s provision for the sinner.
What is this saying, Passing through the gate meant the acceptance of God’s way of salvation.
This one thing that is very certain here is that the moment the sinner trusts the Lord Jesus Christ as the way to the Father, at that moment that sinner comes into personal contact with the atoning blood of the Lamb.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
The sinner can at that very moment read his/her title clear in the light of the cross.
The sinner can at that very moment read his/her title clear in the light of the cross.
Now listen you may see two steps here being the gate and the altar, but in Christ there is but one.
Because Christ is both the Gate and the Altar.
We decide at the gate, we are justified at the Altar.
One is our act, and the the other is God’s.
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
What you see is precious faith, precious blood, and precious promise.
