Ginosko

To learn to know God intimately

Moses Spoke to God as a Friend

This is one of my favorite stories in the Bible. Moses has a strong encounter with God.
God spoke to moses face to face as a man speaks with a friend. The message translations says it was like a neighbor talking to his neighbor.

Moses Set up a Tent Outside the Camp

Why did moses set up a tent outside the camp?
To separate themselves from the rest of the people.
Getting away from the distractions of everyday life alone with God will help you know God.
Its hard to hear God with a lots of noise going around you.
Another reason that Moses set the tent up was because he realized the importance of being alone with God beyond a corporate meeting!
If we all the time we have with is in a church service then we will more than likely become dissatisfied with church.
We will look for the church to entertain us rather how we can help others.
We will look to see how the church might fit my needs rather than looking for an encounter with God.

Moses Asked God to teach him His way

Moses said that if you are for me then TEACH me your ways.
Ginosko means that I am learning the ways of God in order to know him.
God is not hiding how he doing something from you, He wants you to know.
His way is only found when you desire an intimate relationship with God.

Moses asked for More

Moses asked God to see Him in his full glory.
This was a big ask.
How satisfied are you?
How deep are you willing to go?
There have been many times that I have not been willing to go very deep, but it is one of my greatest regrets.
I found myself like the children of Israel saying “you go see him and tell me what he says.”
God does not want grandchildren, he wants children.
Someone who lives only on stories of someone else experience.
God desire for you to have a first hand relationship with him.

We have More than What Moses Had

Moses had access to God, but we have even more.
I encourage you to pursue it.
