King James Version Psalm 103
Bless the LORD, O my soul:
And all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all his benefits:
3 Who dforgiveth all thine iniquities;
Who ehealeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;
Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things;
So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The LORD executeth righteousness
And judgment for all that are oppressed.
David finds himself in a position where he commands his soul to bless the Lord
David’s life was filled with varied circumstances
David recognizes God as the origin of all that occurs in his life.
He seems to echo the words of Paul “in Him we live and move and have our very bring”
David identifies the Lord as the source of all blessings.
How many times do remember we were sick and now can say we are well but forget the Healer.
The value of our praise to God is significantly multiplied when we can praise God in humanly adverse situations
Interestingly he is not advocating worship as this is a different relationship altogether and comes from a different place.
He focuses on the first step and most obvious aspects of the human life.
He states it in an imperative form where the listener has no choice but to check his or her self and correct that folly.
He addresses himself from the position of an admitted weakness that all humans struggle with. “Forgetfullness”
David lived a life of remembrance”

If I forget thee O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth: if i prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
Benefits are not an accidental trickle of some overloaded caravan of goodies but it is an intentional dispersion of spiritual .... on a committed and consistent basis.
He identifies
The Personal nature of blessing God
He uses the personal pronoun to begin the discourse and seems to change to the third person but he is really still speaking to himself
Each of these blessings serve as a reminder that we cannot provide these for ourselves
Each of these blessings focus on the reality of every life.
None of these blessings are easy to come by. If we understand how many entities that are assigned to stop our blessing we will be ever more grateful.
Christie Joyner
“When God decides to bless you He will cause situations to come together in your favour no matter what”
The Power of the blessings
the blessing is not an event in our lives but operates continually.
These blessing are by tehir nature a reversal of anything the enemy will seek to do.
