gives the portrait of a man of God who is self-controlled.
Like a soldier, he is devoted to the Lord who has called him by grace.
Like an athlete, he understands the importance of discipline in his daily life.
But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

Grace-filled men are sensible.
In contrast to the present age that exaults youth and immaturity, the Christian is called to a dignity that comes by living a life of truth.

Grace-filled men are sound.
Grace-filled men are sound.

How do you prioritize your relationship with God?
Sound in Love - .
A grace filled man demonstrates a selfless love for his wife, his children, and those God has called him to serve. He uses his time and resources to bring blessing to others.
God loved us and gave himself for our benefit. As men we are called to give ourselves for others.
Sound in Endurance - he demonstrates “the ability to endure hardship, to accept disappointment and failure, to be satisfied despite thwarted personal desires and plans.” - John MacArther
He continues to trust God to the end.
