Introduction:

: Creation

I. The good creation of God

The world as originally created was much different than the way it is now. Thankfully we don’t have to look very far to see exactly how it was. In we find the story of the creation of the world.
tells us that God created the heavens and the earth. 5 times the Bible refers to God seeing his own work as good. After God created man in his own image in we are told that everything is very good.

Conclusion:

The Bible tells the us the story of God and his actions throughout human history. We look at the four major stages from the Bible (1). Creation (2). Chaos (3). Christ and (4). Consummation. From the good creation of God, through the fall of man and the years and centuries of rebellion to God, to the coming of Jesus the God-Man, we then looked at the future coming of Christ where he will make all things new. A big story that can seem impersonal at times, but is in reality very personal. For the believer, the Christian, this story of God brings us great Joy when we know that God has worked through all of history to save us, and he is the soveriegn God. This story of God is very personal to us now, and when Christ returns it will be even more personal than we can ever imagine. The Christian does not have to dispair even though the world is in opposition to God because we know that one day all will be made new and we will be in the presence of the Triune God.
For the unbeliever, the one who is not a Christian, that is the individual who has not turned to Jesus Christ in faith and repentance, this story of God should be cause for dispair and not cause for joy. The unbeliever can look to the story of the Bible and can see that God is in control and always has been and always will be. The future return of Jesus Christ is just as real of a reality as the reality that the world we live in today is hard and painful to live in.
