1. Kindness is the Joy of the Lord thrust upon others.

an act of Kindness by nature is a benevolent act given to provide joy, relief, encouragement to others.

The world we live in is the opposite of kind. the world we live in is cruel.

Kind is the opposite of Cruel. since we live in and come out of a harsh world. we have to ask the Holy spirit to show us kindness.

we are not going to be truly kind. we may be outwardly kind. but we wont be kind for the Lords sake.

when I say “kindness is the Joy of the Lord thrust on others.” i mean that we for the sake of the Lord do the things that Kindness is

Listening to someone

there is a member of this church that went to church camp as a child. when he was there he noticed that their where mentally challenged students at the camp. while everyone at the camp was appropriately nice, our member noticed no one truly befriended them so he did. He recounts in that stage of his life he wore a lot of purple and black. those kids that he befriended called him “purple Kid.” the moniker so touched him that he kept it. he is in His early fifties and he still introduces himself as P.K. His birth father didn’t like the nickname and told Him, “you have a given name, “ he said yes sir P. K. is the name given to me.

how about after listening to someone who is on a negetron loop, you joke with them to brake them out of the loop.

how about buying lunch for the struggling co-worker / fellow church goer.

watching someones kids for free.

mowing someones lawn.

3. the kindness of God leads to repentance.

Romans 2:4 NKJV

4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

repentance to the sinner because they are reminded of the goodness of God.
