What FIRE Looks like.

FIRE never asks for permission.

FIRE draws out impurity.

In order for precious metals and stones to become of greater value they must go through purification processes. BY FIRE.

(1 Ki 18:30–39) 30 Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” And all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that had been thrown down. 31 Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord came, saying, “Israel shall be your name,”

32 and with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord. And he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two seahs of seed. 33 And he put the wood in order and cut the bull in pieces and laid it on the wood. And he said, “Fill four jars with water and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood.”

34 And he said, “Do it a second time.” And they did it a second time. And he said, “Do it a third time.” And they did it a third time. 35 And the water ran around the altar and filled the trench also with water. One FOR THE FATHER, ONE FOR THE SON, ONE FOR HS?

36 And at the time of the offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.

37 Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” 38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, “The Lord, he is God; the Lord, he is God.”

“Come near to me.”

That’s the biggest issue.

Trying to do anything apart from Jesus.

IT’s pretty simple. “COME TO ME”

Jesus said this....

‘Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest’. Mt 11:28

2. Repair your altar.

'And he repaired the altar of the Lord that had been thrown down.’

When the enemy comes into our lives it is his goal to take you OUT.

He does this best when he keeps you from being down.

The posture of prayer is the power for your life.

Distractions will rob your attention.

If the devil can get you out of the throne zone, he can damage your ozone.

Ozone (O3) composed of three oxygen atoms that act as a filter and shield.

It’s a filter and shield.

Protects from UV radiation

What happens when you get tooooo much UV?????

You get BURNED!!!

What happens if your protective layer depletes too much?

Cells, begin to die, cancer begins to form, you essentially burn.

WHO’S ready for the BEACH?

Spiritually speaking.

Your personal connection to God in prayer, strengthens your shield ::::

So likewise if it is neglected…

What happens when your SHIELD and FILTER are damaged?

EVERY LITTLE OFFENSE irritates because you are easily burned,

Perspective is all about me me me

We are more easily poisoned?

YOUR SHEILD: protects you from getting burned by people, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH BEING BURNED ON THE ALTAR….

WELL IT IS AN ALTAR BUT IT’S BUILT ON THE OPINIONS OF EVERYONE AROUND YOU. WRONG GOD.

That’s not the kind of offering I’m talking about

ITS TIME TO BECOME THE SUBSTANCE,

THE SACRIFICE THAT FIRE FALLS ON.

3. FIRE FALLS

‘Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed…’

He consumed it all. The sacrifice, The Altar, and the water.

Position yourself for consumption and he will consume you.

You become the sacrifice.

HE CONSUMES Your

1. OFFERING

2. WHAT YOU’VE BUILT IT UPON AND EVEN ALL YOUR SOGGY NASTY MESS.

HE IS AN ALL CONSUMING FIRE.

Is your wood wet?

Doesn’t matter, when you are on back on the altar HE CONSUMES IT ALL.

It’s not your flammability.

It’s your availability.

The more YES you give God the brighter the FLAME.

Are you in FLICKER MODE?

TIME TO BE CONSUMED AGAIN.

IS YOUR HAIR ALL WET AND NASTY CAUSE YOU’VE BEEN SWIMMING IN DEPRESSION.

TIME TO BE CONSUMED AGAIN.

Step one SHOW UP, come back to HIM

Step two PRAY UP, reestablish your prayer life.

Step three BURN UP, let HIM consume you.

IT DOESN’T STOP THERE.

ONCE HE CONSUMES US BY FIRE.

WE NEED TO BECOME THE FIRE.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Mt 5:14–16)

WE ARE IN THIS WORLD TO BURN BRIGHT.

WE AREN’T WAITING FOR REVIVAL

MY NAME IS REVIVAL.

BUT…… FIRE needs FUEL.

FIRE is RELENTLESS

If you’re near it you’re gonna feel it.

It’s not concerned with who or what it touches, all it knows is how to burn.

Is it easy to BURN?

No it takes multiple PERSONAL BONFIRE EXPERIENCES.

IS IT The Great Commission or the Great Convenience?

Why did Jesus send the Comforter if you were going to be comfortable without him?

Most of us don’t get in situations that need the comforter because we’ve already got it taken care of.

If comfort is already in a package then why should we bother with the pursuit of HOLY SPIRIT.

Step one SHOW UP, come back to HIM.

Step two PRAY UP, reestablish your prayer life.

Step three BURN UP, let HIM consume you.

Step four STEP UP, burn so others can feel the heat.
