As we move into the next section of 2 Corinthians, we recognise how the gospel motivates us to give generously, just as we’ve seen how it motivates us to minister reconciliation and repentance to others. Paul’s encouragement is that we would put grace into action and give in response to and in the way that God has given to us. And that encouragement comes in the form of inspiring examples of other churches (and Jesus himself) and practical instructions for giving graciously, excellently, willingly and intentionally. God has given us everything – what can we give in response?
