John
John 8:34–35 NIV
34 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.
John 13:34–35 NIV
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
John 13:
The fist step is understanding how Jesus loved
1 John 4:8–10 NIV
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
How has Jesus Loved you?
We are going to practice loving one another tonight in a very simple way
We are going to take turns speaking about each person. We will each share something with that person that we love or admire about them. Stay away from simply saying “I love your hair or your smile” Say something about their character or how there smile lights up the room and makes you feel so welcomed every time you see them.
