So this morning I wanted to pair a couple of things together for us. And the first part is the subject for this morning message having a Fearless Faith having a dis focusing on the father's will and the Father's Love for our lives and it comes from Mark 14:35 242 and Romans 8 14 to 17.

And sew in in looking at the subject come and the subject of Father's Day. One thing I thought of was like Father show us all kinds of things and sometimes as children and even as adults we're still afraid of new things things that we have an experience yet things that we don't really know about we might want to look into them, but we don't really know them yet. And so it take somebody who is apart of Our Lives who have already experienced those things to maybe maybe help us along and it if we don't want to if we're still dragging our feet may be to give us a little push toward those things. And so I guess with with my father. My father hadn't helped me to learn how to ride a bicycle by holding me up and pushing me along on the bike. And yes, eventually I was going to fall. Yes, eventually there is going to be a problem either. I would wiggle out of the way, you know, cuz I didn't know how to direct the handlebars or I didn't put enough power into the pedals to get me going down the road things like that and it had experience of that he knew how to do that. And all I had to do really is rely on his experience walking along beside me and pushing me a little bit faster so that I could get moving and there are other things to like when you when you start to swim you need somebody to kind of hold you up a little bit so you have somewhere boy and see if you're not really trusting the water just yet and until he would move me to the deeper parts of the pool. To have anything to do with and until he would he would teach me how to paddle paddle paddle through the water. And so I had to move my arms in my legs and learn how to float at the same time yet. He was still with his hand there underneath of me to make sure that I was you know out of the water and not the breed so there are dangerous to us when we experience. There's always going to be some kind of a sound level of danger to our experience in life and it doesn't matter what it is, even from birth. We have the danger of being birth into this life and so many kids even today even even in the United States. There is a high level of danger even in Perth. It is still like a 1 to 12 ratio. Still very high. So we have this business fear sometimes of new things. I've been comfortable where we are and maybe not wanting to be stressed. But so we have these fears and we have new experiences no matter if you want them or not, you're going to experience new things. That's the thing about growing up. That's the thing about living to another year and they having more time in your life. You're going to experience a new things. There's no option here. You are going to experience new things. So we have to

So in order to heaven to to grow into maturity, we have to have those experiences. We had that experience. We have to know what it's about and and figure out the dangers of it and how to how to move through those experiences without them seriously harming us. And so we have parents and is Mother's mothers like to nurture us and help us grow and we have this experiences of safety and and being in the nurturing environment. And at the same time we have fathers and Father's help us to stretch and polish the longest sometimes they give us that encouraging this look at the birds and so a bird will never fly unless one of his parents pushes it out of the nest a bird will never find his parents been pushing out of the nest the baby bird wants to be so comfortable and still sitting in the nest and being fed by the parents. That isn't never going to really and go anywhere unless they'd given an encouraging post. And so our fathers can be there to hold a stop to make sure that we're not going to do to drown when we're swimming to make sure that our bike is still going along. So we're not going headlong into the pavement even though it still happens when leaning trees and not falling out of the tree and he's giving them a leg up a start or pulling them up Dad to the next branch and running alongside them and giving balance all these things fathers can do and how we have experience within and teaches how to take that next step outside of our comfort zone to the next thing to have that new experience their help isn't intended to to put us in danger, but it's also not intended to remove the danger. In order to learn things, we have to have some danger there has to be a level of something seriously going to happen some hurt or some failure is going to happen. It's a part of life. It's a part of the things that we do. Amanda till we learn our limits and we learned the expectations of what may happen, but we don't know the future right so we don't know always know what's going to happen. That's where we've learned where are power ends are limit. And we're in the power external to us whether it be your father or whether be your heavenly father takes over but it's not like they're there's some kind of dividing line between when you stop. All right, and your father our heavenly father start? it wasn't like, you know, I got on the bike and then started writing it and was balanced and was running and then and then somehow I let go and and father takes control and Kisame ballast and going it doesn't work. That way. He had to train me by holding on to the bike getting to go a little ways and then when he was comfortable enough with me taking a bit more control letting go

TV it can be said the same way with the heavenly father in and sanctification right loving other people and loving God more fully singing God's grace. God gives us the power to be able to change our lives when we have no idea what we're doing at the beginning of this thing. I didn't know when I when I ask God, you know tune to save me to take over my life with that man. I didn't know that end in a way I did but I would have to let go of things but I didn't know of how much I would have to let go. I didn't know how much prayer time I was supposed to take. I don't know how much study in the word of God. It was going to pay to be able to understand what Jesus was talking about. I didn't know any of these things when I started and so, you know, God is just sitting there holding onto the bicycle, right? Training me in the ways that I should go giving me that Grace by and by holding it up when I stay I can't do anything. I can't balance. I can't get it to go. I have no power on my own to be able to make it to move. Akon is there. And he will Cable Direct me to tell me what's wrong in order to correct it but he's not there like shouting at me. Why can't you do anything? Right? You have messed up your your phone over your failing your heart yourself. He's not there like yelling at you because you've you had a far.

That's a part of living like business groups and these these chin bumps. and it might be some blood to come out of it to

and they hurt. And those experiences can can live with us throughout our entire life. But if we know we can get back on it if we if we know he's going to be right there to help us to do to get back on it and to try again. We will we will try again.

We always have God's help when we wanted.

We might get it wrong. We might fail we might backslide. something might happen in our lives to make other people say she really messed up. She has no idea about how to live her life.

Timothy Church all of her life. He went to church all of her life. I saw her and Sunday school. I taught her in Sunday School. I called him and Sunday School. They know better. And this is what we say.

Sometimes this is what we saying judgement to each other. If God is always there the minute. That second that you asked for his help. Just like any loving parent would pick up pick up their tongue and and make sure that they're all right and see their knees Grace and banish them up, but they're not going to tell him don't write a bike ever again in your life. They're going to say, okay. Now you're bandaged up your better. Do you want to get on the bike again? God asks us. He doesn't Force us. It doesn't make us. Can I ask us he knocks at the doors of our heart and let the scripture says he's waiting at the doors of our heart waiting for us to open it and take that next opportunity and get back on the bike and love to learn new things learning new things and new experiences always comes with some kind of growing pain always and if you're not falling all over on a bike your voice is changing and people are making fun of you. Maybe you were like me and a little overweight some people made fun of you cuz your weight maybe you were only there picked on sometime in school these things. He's experienced happens to us and I'm not excusing don't say that ever that I would excuse bowling out of the one that was bullied. I was I was the one that you know, people were trying to shove in the gym Lawton blockers or are or shoving the washing machines like that sort of thing. But you can't prevent them from happening. They're going to happen is a part of our lives. At some point I need to make all the laws and rules that he want to but the experiences of our allies will happen to us. And God says he's things over and over again. It is where he's talking about you're going to have these experiences things are going to happen to you. You're going to fail and every single every single look back in the Old Testament every single person who is said was led by God every single one of them failed. Every single one of them had a major catastrophic life failure. Go and pick him out. Abraham Moses David. You pick them. They failed.

And so this is the part of experience of learning faith and growing in faith and having these growing pains in our lives every single one of them fam. Got every single one of them were picked up every nude in faith by God. receiving them by his grace convicting them of what they had done wrong until they got to the point of saying God. I know, you know better please please fix this.

So you be experiencing pain and failure is necessary for us to know the difference between what is true and what only appears to be true. Thousands to inform those things in our lives where will people are always telling us stuff and it doesn't matter where it's coming from Left Right middle, whatever and people are always telling you stuff.

They're so there's a difference between knowing the truth and and and Discerning what appears to be true and what is true and a difference between power actual real power and what appears to be power? Because it's easy for leaders to be a part of our life and to make themselves appear as a leader and talk and yell and cajole people into doing things and actually inspiring people to do it for themselves.

There's a huge difference between the two.

So I hope this isn't intermittent. What is power and what appears to be power when I am with my friends and you know, like I tried to prove myself on how good I was at guarding my bike and I would get in a race with a with a buddy and go down the street and I was trying to prove myself as like I'm better than you like trying to to just ride my bike as hard as I could because I wanted some kind of jockeying position and her people to like me more.

But it wasn't necessary. Are my friends I didn't need to beat somebody in a race, but then they like me more. What is the difference between power and what appears to be power? The one we're not challenge when we're not pushed beyond our own abilities. We kind of stay in that in that safe zone right and that nurturing place and we like to be in that place in you know, we get good food there and we can comfort food when I'm going home. I get some macaroni and cheese and some fried chicken, you know, some good food and just being around my mom and and bring it with my family and there is that Comfort Zone in that environment. As soon as I get back to life.

I get stretched I get pulled even if it's a place that I I want to be. There are always opportunities for us to get stretched to get pulled for us to experience a new thing, but when that doesn't happen we stagnating.

10 vitality and life seems to just sap from our soul.

I never had a job where you work in a cubicle. I hate jobs of cubicles was great like where I can you not help people to improve their their workflows and then and figure out how to do things easier but in the office, I was in a cubicle and it seemed like every minute of the cubicle. It seemed like wife was setting out of me. So I'm so most of the time during the day. I just want to talk and see people and look out the window. It's a nature from time to time. I did not want to be in this box. This life with soul Staffing box. You know and that's what that's what happened happens when we stay in our comfort zone. Sometimes we're not challenge for new things not challenge to actually live life.

Toasting some Vitality him and life removes from us and that happens with our faith. If we are not watching for the things that are coming into our lives prettiest Nina watching the Nets next thing on Netflix and not really paying attention to you is it's a story I should be you know paying attention to her and I is this something I need to take into my life when we're not paying attention to you. You know, I have I prayed to God this morning. Am I relying on God for anything today? Have I asked them? Is there somebody I should be going to today? I need the encouragement that need some help. Have I open the scriptures today? Have you even cracked open the Bible today? Is there a passage or is there a book that you can speak to that and that is informing your life today? I said when we don't pay attention to those things and sooner or later. It just slowly filters out of our life. And our lives stagnant. And it becomes just like stagnant water making putrefying and making all kinds of nasty smells and then birthing things in the life that are nasty and ugly. Tell him we can't be without nurturing and safety right next to live this life in some kind of way. You have to come into life and some kind of nurturing environment in a safe environment to know who you are and to build those Concepts within you so that when you become an adult They can make the good and necessary decisions distract yourself, but at the same time we need to challenge ourselves beyond our own fears. Beyond the evil expectations that we might have.

And if we don't do that, we never fully mature.

Same thing with our life of faith in the spirit. If we do not watch and we are not intentional or unintentional about those things of God, we will easily and slowly stagnate and our Spirits die. And we can call ourselves Christians. And we can come to church on a Sunday morning. Hopefully it we aren't attentive to the life and spend our souls. Easily become and can be defined as not.

Can we start living by the enemies ways instead of God's ways? we can call ourselves and have the title of Christian but that does not make us so

So Fearless Faith requires nurturing and stretching both parts of us. I mean, that's why we had to have the example of mother and father in our lives God built the family for a reason and gave a certain aspects and characteristics for each other and maybe maybe I'm not exactly built like those particular characteristics, but in the coming together mother and father in that relationship and building the Family Guy Wilbert those characteristics through that relationship. Anyway, that's the great thing again, and it's Gracie Wilbert those things of this. Anyhow, God wants us to live in to his very image and we live in a world that is falling and we ourselves are falling in there. We can flesh and we had divided will and so we choose to do those things that are not of God till we must rely on him to get it back. You can't you can't take something good from something that's already been corrupting. Like if you have a piece of metal that's already got rushed like running through it. You're not going to stop at rest from eating up the rest of the metal you can delay it. You can't stop so you need God to come in and fix that restore.

So we must rely on God as our creator Our Redeemer and our sustainer and these are the three functions you can see the same way. God the Father God the son God the Holy Spirit Creator Redeemer sustainer. Define the strength that we need to move Beyond ourselves and into a new form of life. and like I said, some of us have good examples of fatherhood and some of us don't and we need God to show us an image of what a truly loving and inspiring thoughtful powerful father is in order to redeem that each one of us are flawed. So all of us have fun understanding of who the most high loving father should be and so all of us have the opportunity of having God to come into our hearts and our lives and redeem that image. So we can know how to do the same for someone else.

And in the scripture Jesus appealed appealed to the father for his own life. Do you recognize that when we're going through this when we're going through and and all the way through Jesus dying on the cross and Resurrection in Jesus goes to pray and says to the father. Please take this cup from me.

Is Jesus is appealing to the father for his life? Why are you not appealing to the father for yours?

the question I often ask Jesus turned around and then submitted even if with his his appeal to go to the father. Submitted his will to the father and it wasn't an easy thing. He knew that he was going to be taking off in that he's going to lose his life and all these things that had to happen. His disciples were going to have to go from them and he told them And he had to do it anyway.

I'm acknowledging that. God has our best in mind. And the next thing to happen in our life, that is real truthful faith. Having faith that God has the best for us and relying on that that is Faith to Fearless faith is taking the step in and submitting to God and to his will whether or not it directs us to lose our life. Because Jesus actually made that statement. You gain your life if you lose it? Has contradictory went off and understand that but it's kind of contradictory. So what can we do consider that God is your Abba Father? Examine your heart.

Ask whether you know that the spirit is telling you that you are a child of God, and I know that's a dangerous question and sometimes we don't really want to know but the only way to get truly back into a relationship. If you ask a question in the first place. And then you can start getting back together and then you can start being refilled with the spirit. Speak to the father each and every day. Not just not just when you feel like it even when you don't feel like it if you had to shout and him for something and he wants to hear from you. watch pray care and at home. But you don't fall into temptation.

Considering whether your hurts your hangouts or your failures are holding you back from a loving relationship with God.

So time is limited and Jesus knows this and he often told the reciting to the disciples and very start terms and In this passage when he is with the disciples and coming back to them and saying you couldn't even stay awake long enough to pray for me. Haven at this moment.

He said make a decision. Jetta

Get up rise it says Rise. Let's go.

It's time to go. The Great Commission is not about need delaying any longer and making decisions and then figuring out whether you're not going to or not. Jesus said let's go.

Go and make disciples. He didn't ask if it was an option. He said go.

Fearless faith is fairly taking action and God's mission to restore everyone. It's what Jesus was here for its what he thought is what its whole life is about it requires a nurturing and it requires a stretching. And then you've got to decide for yourself. Are you going to be about the Great Commission? Or are you not? Jesus doesn't really put it any other way. Are you going to go out and make disciples or are you not? One makes you a disciple and one does not. So even if we call ourselves Christians, even if we call ourselves a little price. Make a decision this day who you will serve.

it is it is it going to be God, is it going to be about making disciples it is is it going to be getting out there and telling people about God and asking them if they're ready to come to God and and showing them the great love of God or are we not

One makes you a follower of Christ and one does not.

It's not easy. Jesus said do you lose your life?

What's a game?

To each and every one of us has to decide for ourselves. We can't rely on the Faith of Our Fathers.

The Faith of Our Fathers is their faith.

All of us in this room are adults. So we've got to the point where we had to make a decision for our house. So we still have a decision today and no matter what we did in the past. We have this moment to make a decision whether we are going to go and do what you said or do something different. I see no real option and don't don't tell me that I'm the I'm the one telling you this. I read the scripture is you already know what you just said. You read the gospel. You've been in church for most of your lies that not all of your life, you know the choice to make I said when we are not intended to our faith and don't do what you just says. We remain in disobedience.

We let our faith stagnate.

And we don't truly follow the work.

To choose today to do something about it. Live differently in the life of tomorrow. New Life to this house for you
