This morning we are going to be talking about Joseph’s rise.
Genesis 41:1 ESV
After two whole years, Pharaoh dreamed that he was standing by the Nile,
Two years passed by from the point where Joseph tried to raise himself out of jail and when God moved. Why did it take two years. I don’t know, one could assume God has his timing and reasons. If it’s one thing I have learned in my life is that God does things and just because I don’t have the answers or reasons as to why He ultimately does.

A True Christian Should Never Lack

A say this without hesitation or reservation because I believe the biggest problem We have in America and I know I haven fallen for many times in my life is a skewed definition of the word lack. At this point in our Journey Joseph has nothing that we would make us consider him to be well off, but yet he has everything he needs.
Matthew 10:19 ESV
When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour.
Just this past week I have heard that witnessing to people is difficult. That people don’t want to hear or don’t want to come to church. The reason this is true is due to one of two things. That’s right there is just two things you need to up your witnessing game and to lack nothing. Two things you need to have it all.

God’s Timing.

Habakkuk is a perfect reminder of God’s timing. Habakkuk has several complaints. He isn’t happy and seeks God for answers. The second complaint Habakkuk brings that wrong doing is not only thriving, but it’s taking what little the righteous has and Habakkuk wants to know why. Now it’s understood that God doesn’t always answer these types of questions. Why we don’t know, but he answers Habakkuk in
Habakkuk 2:3 ESV
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
Habakkuk
Habu
God’s timing is perfect. For Joseph the perfect time was to give Pharoah an answer no one else could.
Galatians 6:9 ESV
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Galations 6:9
Proverbs 3:5–6 ESV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Proverbs
God’s timing in your life is always perfect.

2) God’s Words

Genesis 41:25 ESV
Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do.
As I read this passage one other passage came to mind.
Matthew 10:19 ESV
When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour.
Matthew 10:19 ESV
When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour.
Just this past week I have heard that witnessing to people is difficult. That people don’t want to hear or don’t want to come to church. If we are unsuccessfully witnessing to people it’s because we are missing one of these two things. When Joseph told the cupbearer not to forget him he had God’s Words but not His timing. He had the power to interpret dreams, but the time to be remembered wasn’t at hand yet.
Now the biggest mistake I often find when evangelism goes wrong or when we are constantly presenting problems we find is that Satan wants to use the truth to make us worry where God wants to use the truth to provide us Salvation.
I read in a post on facebook that the church shouldn’t be attempting to follow the World’s trends the Church should be setting them. Part of the reason, I believe, that the church has lost it’s power is because we have allowed it to lose its influence.
The first century church solved problems. They didn’t just point problems out. They had the answer and went out to incorporate that answer.
We see this in Joseph’s life
Genesis 41:33 ESV
Now therefore let Pharaoh select a discerning and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.
Joseph not only presented a problem, but came with the solution. A person with a problem is often known as a complainer or a trouble maker. A person with a solution is usually promoted and sought after a true leader someone wants to follow.
Satan will trouble you we see this in
Genesis 41:8 ESV
So in the morning his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt and all its wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was none who could interpret them to Pharaoh.
Genesus 41:8
God will comfort you!
Was Pharoah worried about the 7 years of lack—no because he knew what to do with it. This knowledge led to Joseph’s largest promotion.
In some cases the reason we fail when other’s succeed is because we are lacking the boldness to press on with the answer God has given us. Joseph put his life at risk when presenting Pharoah with his solution because if Pharoah didn’t like it he could have Joseph put to death.
Which brings us to the final incrediant to having it all.

3) Boldness

to carry out what God has for you.
Wihout Boldness God’s timing will pass and his words won’t be spoken.
Jesus Stated these words
Luke
Luke 4:18–21 ESV
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
Luke 4:18–19 ESV
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
But we know the same Spirit that empowered Jesus empowers us. We can walk in the same boldness and assuredness that: LISTEN:

That your Relationship with Christ Affords you.

Ill close with this: Because I want you think about it.
I have benefits with my wife that no one else has. Why> Because I married her. I have a level of relationship with my wife no one else can obtain.
This is the warning of being bold. Don’t be bolder than your relationship with Christ allows. If you aren’t actively pursuing a deeper relationship than the power you have is the power you will walk in. You cannot leave here and empty out a hospital you will look like a fool and so will God.
But the more you persue God the more you will be used by him. The greater you know him the greater you will be used by him. Be bold in what God sets you to do—not in what you desire to do. Because of if have the proper mixture of God’s timing, God’s Words and God’s boldness then you will see the Power of God word in your life.
