What does Jesus want me to do?

Most of us have questions that we need to ask BUT would rather not have answered. Or answered in a way that insured that we understand and process the answer.
So Doctor, how am I doing and what do I need to do to protect and maintain my health?
To our employer - What can I do to deliver more valued added for you and your business?
To the employee - What can we do to better equip and care for you?
In the family context - What can I do to better serve, care and demonstrate my love for you and my commitment to you?
As a vocational teaching Elder - What can I do to learn and develop my gifts and skills to better serve you?
As members, those who benefit from this of this congregation, What can we do to share in and expand the ministry?
WHAT IS GOD DOING OR GOING TO DO?
WHAT DOES GOD WANT ME TO DO?
While most of us want to know what God is doing and what that means for us, many of us are not as ready for the answers.
It is one thing to ask what God is doing or going to do. It is very different to selflessly ask what does that mean for me without trying to fit that into our preferred plan.
Having been told by Jesus what would happen, the disciples were again told what they must do to serve Him.
What is going to happen - Jesus death -
On the road going up to Jerusalem
On the way to Jerusalem by way of Jericho.
From Jericho to Jerusalem - 20 miles/32 km - 3,500 ft/1,000 meters plus increased elevation
Jesus walking ahead of them - leading the way.
They - disciples - amazed. Those who followed - extended group of followers - afraid
Taking the 12 - AGAIN - He began to tell them
AGAIN - 8:31 & 9:31
Most detailed - Jesus was going to Jerusalem to be killed and rise again.
