This Sunday we come to the last passage of the current section of the letter, the last of three weeks on the topic of giving, and the last sermon before taking a break from the series. We’ve talked about Grace & Giving, Integrity & Giving, and now Gratitude & Giving. And that’s not just about how giving should be defined by gratitude, but also how gratitude is one of the blessings ‘reaped’ when we sow generously and cheerfully as Christians. Such gratitude then leads to a growth in righteousness and more praise and glory for God, who gives his beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”
