Matthew 7:21–23 NLT
21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
“I never knew you” the word know is the the word Ginsoko
Ginosko is learning to know intimately.

An intimate relationship cannot be just about what we do, its about a connection.

Jesus said that there are people who will prophesy in the name of Jesus, they will cast out demons, they will do all kinds of works that look Godly, but they still don’t know God.
In other words we can go to church, we can pray for people, we can talk about God and still not know God.
I am going to guess that if your sitting in here today you might be asking the question “how do I know if I know God intimately?”

Do you desire to know God or are we satisfied just to know about God?

I like to compare our relationship with God to marriage because there are so many similarities.
People can be married and not know one another. They know about each other.
They can know what a person likes or doesn’t like.
They can know how to respond the right way.
They can even know how to buy the right gifts.
We can know everything, and still be guarded with our heart.
