Welcome

Hi everyone, I’m Brian and that guy over there is my friend Jake...
I’m going to let y’all ask me any five questions you want so we can get to know each other, but I get to ask you a question back!

Intro

What’s the theme for today?
God’s love for us is unconditional.
What does unconditional mean?
My kids all have these things that they love unconditionally. My oldest son has some stuffed animals… My middle son has some blankets… And my youngest son has a stuffed animal and a blanket...
They love those things unconditionally. Parker had some kind of virus when he was about a year old… He wanted his lamby every night, it didn’t matter what it had been through in the day...
Dawson will wake up and his blanket will be soaked, he doesn’t care, he wants it.
They love these things without condition! This is how God loves us!
The great thing to remember is that though our feelings come and go, God’s love for us does not.
C.S. Lewis
So many people in the world offer us conditional love. That may last for a little while, but then another condition comes up.
God’s love is not based on what we’ve done, but what Jesus did for us!
What’s our verse for today?
We’re going to look through this whole section, verses 31-39, to see what it tells us about God’s love for us.

Scripture

v32, this does not mean that God is a genie in a bottle. Paul is saying He has given us all we need to live for Him and make it to final glory.
v33, God has declared the believer innocent of all sins
v33-34, When God declares us innocent, we are innocent and no one can change that. No one can accuse us of anything that will change God’s mind. No matter what we do, He will still love us.
v35-36, we should expect hardship as Christians in this world, but they can not ruin our faith.
v38-39, nothing can pull us away from or stop the benefits of God’s love
Here’s the deal though, when we go back to verse 33 we see that Paul is saying all this to a certain group of people. “God’s elect”.
That means God’s people. These promises are for God’s people. So how do you know if that’s you?…
