The Revival In You
The Revival In You
every year we have a revival at our churches and every year we say we had a good revival.but did we really have a good revival were God showed up and showed off? Deep down we are still missing something. i know i feel like we are. as i go to revival our revivals. in preparation for revival, i hear the preacher talking about revival and the church praying about revival. i still feel we are falling short of Gods’s revival. if i could barrow your imagination for just a few minutes. i would like to show you what God has put on my heart about revival and how we can achieve a true revival.
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Dictionary of Bible Themes 8148 revival
revival
The sovereign activity of God whereby he renews his people individually and corporately in vigour, affecting both sincerity of belief and quality of behaviour.
vigour (US vigor)
■ noun physical strength and good health.
▶ effort, energy, and enthusiasm.
we all fall short of the glory of God every day. the bible tells us no man is without sin. i can tell you myself that as soon as i step away from god and his calling on my heart i fall down. without the lord and trying to live in revival everyday of my life i cannot even walk. we are so wrapped up in our box life and little routine, we forget the true revival walk. we come to church when the doors are open we live in a box house, we go to a box, job, we read our box book, we pray in or box room and all that is fine. but we must dig deeper than routine. as christians we are so scared to to say and do anything. we sit in church all quite and the holy gost is giving you the emotion to yell amen and you do nothing and wonder why your not growing. the only reason we say nothing is because we are so scared of what someone may think of us. just look at our revivals 98% of the people are members. we wonder why we cant have revival. if we want this world to change and have the bible back in school and God be first in this nation again the revival has to start with us. i remember going to revival when i was a kid the night i felt God call me to preach and it was so packed they brought chairs in and still ran out of room. that was right here in colleton county. that was 20 years ago.
1st we must be born again
we must be saved/born again. until you are saved by the grace of God. you can try all you and you will never experience a personal revival.
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2nd we must repent
1 In that day seven women
will take hold of one man
and say, “We will eat our own food
and provide our own clothes;
only let us be called by your name.
Take away our disgrace!”
2 In that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel. 3 Those who are left in Zion, who remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy, all who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem. 4 The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire. 5 Then the Lord will create over all of Mount Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night; over everything the glory will be a canopy. 6 It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain.
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Isaiah 4:7-8
james 4:7-8
listen he is the ever lasting God. he never gets tired. check this out.
Do the money trick.
you have been beaten, you have been lied to, you have been drug through hell and back, but you still have value. God still wants to have a revival in you. he can still use you. he wants to have a personal relationship with you. so when you feel that nug get your butt up. if you dont you just might miss your personal revival.
3: we must be humble.
look
today's life we make ourselves so busy that we have time for nothing. just ask anyone in here if they are busy. no one will tell you know. we can sit here and live our box life by living in out box home, going to our box job, going to our box church witch is great but until we allow God to bring us out of our little busy box and walk with him we will never experience his true revival. when we do this we will have a church family revival like you have never seen. it wont be a revival were just the members show up. we will have a packed house because we will truly be excited for god.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
