Ginosko
Ginosko
Is to learn to know God intimately.
Our greatest privilege is to have a relationship with God. And as with every relationship it does require work, humility and sacrifice.
However, the reward of a Ginosko relationship with God is worth it all.
Today, I want to talk about a practice that Jesus asked us to take as often as we think of it.
The practice of communion is not a religious practice, but at constant reminder of our relationship with God.
Communion reminds us that we have unhindered access to the Father, that we have promises that our Father has made to us, and that we have been forgiven, we have been made right with God.
The Bread and the Wine
The Bread and the Wine
Bread-unleavened bread becoming the body of Christ.
Jesus broke the bread, and handed it out to the disciples.
He said to eat it in REMEMBRANCE of Jesus.
What do we remember?
We remember his loving sacrifice, we remember the pain he endured, and we can remember his forgiveness.
Wine-represents the New Covenant we are living in because the blood of Jesus has cleansed us from all sin.
7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
To be cleansed means that we are no longer stained with the sin we have done. Heaven declares us free from the guilt, the shame, and the condemnation.
What do we remember?
We remember that we are not living in the old covenant we are living in a new covenant that works.
We remember all the benefits and promises of the New Covenant.
We remember that have not only been forgiven, but we have been empowered, we have been given authority.
Communion Causes Greater Intimacy with our Father
Communion Causes Greater Intimacy with our Father
Communion-Com-Comunicate, and Union-Intimacy, becoming one.
Taking communion actually brings us closer and more intimate with God.
I know people who take communion everyday!
I know people who have been walking through some great challenges in their life that take communion three times a day.
You don’t have to take communion only at church, you can take communion anytime.
Are you walking through temptation? Take Communion
Do you desire to have a more intimate relationship with God? Take Communion
Do you have sickness in your body? Take communion
We can take communion just to take it.

27 So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
28 That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup.
29 For if you eat the bread or drink the cup without honoring the body of Christ, you are eating and drinking God’s judgment upon yourself.
30 That is why many of you are weak and sick and some have even died.
I Corinthians 11:
The Bread
23 For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread
24 and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
I Corinthians 11:
The Wine
25 In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.”
26 For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.
I Corinthians 11:25-
