JESUS PRAYER FOR UNITY

John 17:11  I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you.

Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.

(RVR) Y ya no estoy en el mundo; mas éstos están en el mundo, y yo voy a ti.

Padre santo, a los que me has dado, guárdalos en tu nombre, para que sean uno, así como nosotros.

(VP) “Yo no voy a seguir en el mundo, pero ellos sí van a seguir en el mundo, mientras que yo me voy para estar contigo.

Padre santo, cuídalos con el poder de tu nombre, el nombre que me has dado, para que estén completamente unidos, como tú y yo.

John 17:21-23  that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.

May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me.

May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

(RVR) para que todos sean uno; como tú, oh Padre, en mí, y yo en ti, que también ellos sean uno en nosotros; para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste.

22 La gloria que me diste, yo les he dado, para que sean uno, así como nosotros somos uno.

23 Yo en ellos, y tú en mí, para que sean perfectos en unidad, para que el mundo conozca que tú me enviaste, y que los has amado a ellos como también a mí me has amado.

(VP) Te pido que todos ellos estén unidos; que como tú, Padre, estás en mí y yo en ti, también ellos estén en nosotros, para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste.

22 Les he dado la misma gloria que tú me diste, para que sean una sola cosa, así como tú y yo somos una sola cosa: 23 yo en ellos y tú en mí, para que lleguen a ser perfectamente uno, y que así el mundo pueda darse cuenta de que tú me enviaste, y que los amas como me amas a mí.

WHAT IS RUINING YOUR UNITY?

·         Bitterness

·         Unforgiveness

·         Self-centeredness

·         Poor communication

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT …………GOD’S ACT TO UNITE THE CHURCH

 

Act 1:5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be *baptized with the Holy Spirit * (RVR) Porque Juan ciertamente bautizó con agua, mas vosotros seréis bautizados con el Espíritu Santo dentro de no muchos días.

(VP) Es cierto que Juan bautizó con agua, pero dentro de pocos días ustedes serán bautizados con el Espíritu Santo.

Church is born!

Ac 8:15 When they arrived [at Samaria], they prayed for them* that they might receive the Holy Spirit,* 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and *they received the Holy Spirit*.

(RVR) los cuales, habiendo venido, oraron por ellos para que recibiesen el Espíritu Santo; 16 porque aún no había descendido sobre ninguno de ellos, sino que solamente habían sido bautizados en el nombre de Jesús.

17 Entonces les imponían las manos, y recibían el Espíritu Santo.

(VP) Al llegar, oraron por los creyentes de Samaria, para que recibieran el Espíritu Santo.

16 Porque todavía no había venido el Espíritu Santo sobre ninguno de ellos; solamente se habían bautizado en el nombre del Señor Jesús.

17 Entonces Pedro y Juan les impusieron las manos, y así recibieron el Espíritu Santo.

Ac 10:47 "Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water?

*They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have."

– lambano] (RVR) Entonces respondió Pedro: ¿Puede acaso alguno impedir el agua, para que no sean bautizados estos que han recibido el Espíritu Santo también como nosotros?

(VP) Entonces Pedro dijo: —¿Acaso puede impedirse que sean bautizadas estas personas, que han recibido el Espíritu Santo igual que nosotros?

Act 11:16 Then I remembered what the Lord had said: 'John baptized with water, but *you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

* (RVR) Entonces me acordé de lo dicho por el Señor, cuando dijo: Juan ciertamente bautizó en agua, mas vosotros seréis bautizados con el Espíritu Santo.

(VP) Entonces me acordé de lo que había dicho el Señor: ‘Es cierto que Juan bautizó con agua, pero ustedes serán bautizados con el Espíritu Santo.’

 

1 Cor 12:13 For *we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body*/--/whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free--and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

(RVR) Porque por un solo Espíritu fuimos todos bautizados en un cuerpo, sean judíos o griegos, sean esclavos o libres; y a todos se nos dio a beber de un mismo Espíritu.

(VP) Y de la misma manera, todos nosotros, judíos o no judíos, esclavos o libres, fuimos bautizados para formar un solo cuerpo por medio de un solo Espíritu; y a todos se nos dio a beber de ese mismo Espíritu.

Y ellos le dijeron: Ni siquiera hemos oído si hay Espíritu Santo.

(VP) Les preguntó: —¿Recibieron ustedes el Espíritu Santo cuando se hicieron creyentes?

Ellos le contestaron: —Ni siquiera habíamos oído hablar del Espíritu Santo.

THE FILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

 

*Acts 1:8* But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

(RVR) \\ 8 pero recibiréis poder, cuando haya venido sobre vosotros el Espíritu Santo, y me seréis testigos en Jerusalén, en toda Judea, en Samaria, y hasta lo último de la tierra.

(VP) pero cuando el Espíritu Santo venga sobre ustedes, recibirán poder y saldrán a dar testimonio de mí, en Jerusalén, en toda la región de Judea y de Samaria, y hasta en las partes más lejanas de la tierra.

*Acts 2:4* All of them were *filled with the Holy Spirit* and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

(RVR) Y fueron todos llenos del Espíritu Santo, y comenzaron a hablar en otras lenguas, según el Espíritu les daba que hablasen.
