The Power To Be Free

Psalm 33:6–12 KJV 1900
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: He layeth up the depth in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9 For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. 10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: He maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; And the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail:
The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.
Psalms 33:6-12
Congress decided to declare Independence on July 2nd but the Declaration of Independence was not ratified until July 4th.

On Thursday we will celebrate the independence of this country. This does not mean we celebrate everything about this country. We celebrate the freedoms we have. There are freedoms here that do not exist in other countries. Some freedoms have definitely been taken to the extreme. This country was founded on Christian principles and we are definitely in a post-Christian era. We celebrate our physical freedom. What about our spiritual freedoms?
Matthew 10:28 ESV
28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Our Soul Must Be Free Before Our Body Can Be Free

Our Soul Must Be Free Before Our Body Can Be Free

Jesus Christ has set us free. Do we live in that freedom?
We must take care of what is eternal first. Yes, we should take care of this body. The body the Lord has given us. But what good is a body that is healthy and strong? My other job has a health fair every year. We do not have to go to it but it is strongly encouraged. We get all our numbers checked.
Preferred numbers:
BLOOD PRESSURE 120/80
BLOOD CHOLESTEROL 200
LDL less than 100
HDL greater than 60
TRIGLYCERIDES 150
FASTING BLOOD GLUCOSE 100 or less
BODY MASS INDEX 18.5 - 24.9
I am pretty healthy. My numbers are very good in all areas except for one. Can you guess what that one is? That’s right, body mass index. That one is a little off. What do you expect? They give you this device that looks like half a steering wheel. I am supposed to hold my arms out straight and squeeze as hard as I can. One year, I said that I did not think I did it right and asked to try again. You know what, the number came out higher than the first time. I said you better stick with the first number.
No matter how great our numbers are if our soul is dying under the weight of sin.
Be free.
The Declaration of Independence cited 27 violations against Great Britain. What violations have you accepted that will no longer accept?
Failure, Depression, Loss, Low Self-Esteem, Lies from the Enemy, Fear
Galatians 5:1 ESV
1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Galat
If you have made Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour, then Do not allow Satan to put you back into slavery. You have a choice. You have free will.
Be free
Not only celebrate the freedoms of this country, but more importantly celebrate spiritual freedoms given to us through Jesus Christ.
John 8:36 ESV
36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Be free.
Psalms 33:
Psalm 33:8 ESV
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!
There is coming a day when every person will stand in fear of God Almighty. This word fear has a double meaning. To either be afraid or revere. Those who made their allegiance to Jesus Christ will revere Him. Those who choose to rebel and go their own way will be afraid.
There is coming a day when there will be another Declaration of Independence. This one will be declared by God Almighty. Jesus Christ will come back in all His power and glory. He will declare Independence for this world from Satan once and for all.
Revelation 19:11 ESV
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
Revelation 19:
Revelation 19:14 ESV
14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.
We have always pledged:
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
One day we will pledge
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb With all my strength, with all I am I will seek to honor His commands I pledge allegiance to the Lamb
Be free in the freedom of Jesus Christ.
Let His joy be fulfilled in you.
Have a sound mind.
Live life abundantly.
