Stand on Solid Ground

I am going to preach a few messages on being a follower of Jesus. A big problem today is there is not enough true followers if Jesus. There people that come to church, there are people that do good work in the church, but that doesn’t make them a true follower of Jesus. So we will look at what is takes to be a true follower of Jesus.
1. Stand on solid ground.
Intro: In the year 1174 an Italian Architect Bannao Pisano began his most famous project. He would not finish it. Would was built in 3 stages over a period of 177 years. It would become known as the leaning tower of Pisa. The problem it leans, why does it lean? The soil was much softer than anticipated, and the foundation was too shallow. If it was for all the work that has been done to it over the years it would have toppled over by now.
In this scripture Jesus tells the story of a good foundation. He gives a server warning of what happens if the foundation is not good. In is the Sermon on the Mount. In this part of Chapter 7 finishes with great words of wisdom for those that were there and all who want to be followers of Jesus.
