Is God Pleased with my mouth?
Is God Pleased with my mouth?
Today we find ourselves in a place where we can no longer continue on the path of disobedience and rebellion. David finds himself in a state of repentance. He has realized that he needs the help of the Holy Spirit in order to keep him from falling prey to his own sins. How many of us can admit that we have realized that we cant do this thing by myself. I need some intervention, some divine intervention. I need the supernatural power of the Holy Ghost to get me through. If we’re truly honest with ourselves we could admit the issues that lie within us those things that easily beset us. God I want to stop sleeping around but I just can’t seem to get control of this fleshly desire, God I want to stop lying but I just don't know where to begin. Every time I turn around someone is asking me a question and my answer is a lie. I don't want people to see the real me or to know my business.
Presumptuous: failing to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate. It means taking for granted your access to someone or power to do something. little respect for others by doing things they have no right to do. Cambridge Dictionary Rude, pushy, conceited, arrogant, over confident.
We have to understand that we can’t take the things of God for granted. The theologians would tell us that it’s not a clever idea to presume the mercy of God.
Being presumptuous in the pulpit will cause you to hurt others instead of ministering to others. All of the sudden you take the 30-45 minutes you’ve been given to talk about people, to beat up on people, instead of being led by the Holy Spirit to minister to that persons soul.
Being presumptuous will cause you to think that your too high and mighty to hold the door in the house of the Lord.
Being presumptuous will make you think that you know more than the pastors and that you can do it better.
Being presumptuous will cause you to speak mean things to others with the excuse that this is me; take it or leave it. But your sitting up in the house of God, angry.
