THE JOY OF BEING

CHRISTLIKE

PHILIPPIANS 3:20, 21



    But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

 

I.                  Being the Citizen of the Greatest Kingdom

A.      That We Are Governed By Its Laws

1.     By The Revelation Of The Word

2.     By The Law Of The Spirit

B.      That We Are Invested With Its Rights

1.      The Right To Come Boldly Before The Throne

2.      The Right To Ask Anything Of The Father

3.      The Right To Walk In Constant Fellowship

4.      The Right To Live Our Lives In Liberty

II.               Jesus Is The Subject Of Our Highest Hopes

A.      The Coming Of A Savior

1.      The Belief That He Is Somewhere In Existence

2.      The Conviction That There Is An Appointed Time

3.      The Conviction That We Must Be Prepared

B.      Our Glorious Transformation

1.    Changed By The Will Of Christ

2.    Changed By The Power Of Christ

3.    Modeled After Christ Our lord

C.      His Authority Is Supreme

1.     He Who Created All Things

2.     He Who All Creation Bows Before

3.     He Who Has Authority Over All The Universe

4.     He Whose Name We Have Been Given The Privilege To Use
