Call to worship
Seeing what was ahead, he [David] spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to the grave, nor did His body see decay. God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.
; But God raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him. (Acts 2:24)
Blessing
Grace and peace to you from Him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the Seven Spirits [Holy Spirit] before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. (Revelation 1:4-5)

Sermon
“… our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 1:5-6)
“…with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in spite of strong opposition. For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts. (1 Thessalonians 2:2-4)
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58)
We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them. (Acts 14:15)
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (Matthew 10:39)
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10)
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:28)
