My Ministry Philosophy

2 Tim 4:1-5

VS 1 – THE AUTHORITY OF THE CHARGE

            -Charge - Sober command as if under a curse

VS 2 – THE ABSOLUTE PREEMINANCE OF THE WORD

            -Preach- to herald or proclaim publicly

            -The Word- completeness

                -ILLUST. Luke 24 Emmaus Road

            -Be Ready - Be well equip

            (scripture, history, lang, culture)

            -Correct(reprove)-correcting misbehavior/false doctrine

            -Rebuke- bring a person to repentance

            -Encourage-come along side or

Vs 3-4 – THE ANIMOSITY OF THE COMING GEN

            -Sound Doctrine-biblical teaching consistent w/ Script.

Vs 5 – THE ACTIVITY OF THE PASTOR

            -keep your head-“cool/clear headed”

            -endure hardships-persevere (7 our of 10 leave min.)

            -Evangelist- be evangelistic in nature

            -discharge all the duities of your ministry

                        -don’t be lazy
