Mercy to the Guilty

Psalm 102:19-20

Intro:

We enter this life condemned!

“all we like sheep have gone astray.”

The evidence of guilt is manifested in all by death.

“For the wages of sin is death”

“For there is none righteous no not one.”

“But, God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Doctrine:

I. God’s Mercy is Good for All People. (Rom.3:10)

II. God’s Tenderness and Grace is evident in Salvation. (John 3:16; Rom.6:23)

Application:

1. Seek the Lord while He may be found.

2. Come to Him all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and He’ll give you rest.

3. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

4. Ho everyone that thirsteth, come ye to the waters…

5. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
