            About 1952, some young men were condemned to death by hanging because of their robbery and murder.  On the day of their execution, one young man about 18 asked his mother to come close so he could whisper something in her ear.

            When she came close, he bit off her ear and spit it out.  He said, “You never corrected me when I did wrong.  What I have just done will remind you of your failure.” - Monday John Akpakpan
