*“GIVING IS WORSHIP”*
*Deuteronomy 12:1-7*

We continue today the series on authentic and excellent worship.
Last week, I attempted to talk with you about worship preparation.
In order to give God the worship God alone deserves, we are to first tear down the idols that stand before us masquerading as gods.
Today, I want to put our giving in the proper context.
So many people think the church is all about the money but to average person who comes to church does not think about the cost of the day to day operation of church life.
Over and above that, we serve a giving God.
We are most like God when we learn how to give.
The Hebrews had a variety of offerings associated with the worship of YHWH.
I want to explain them to you and then finish up.
1.
Burnt Offerings given directly at the altar for atonement

2.
Sacrifices thanksgiving    such as praise, thanksgiving and devotional

3.
Tithes grain, oil, 10 %  SEE 14:22-26
