Application
1.
When you come to chapel this week and when you have your time in devotions in your cabins, I want you to remember why it’s important to take the Bible seriously.
So, before chapel starts and before you open up your Bible I want you to try to remember to ask God for His help as you take His Word seriously.
2. After chapels are over and after you are done with your devotions, I would like you to try to remember to ask God to help you to live differently after reading or hearing.
James tells us that if we hear the Bible, but don’t do what it says, we are no different than a man who looks in a mirror and sees a mess and then walks away and does nothing with it.
3. The last thing I would say is this: If you read something in the Bible and it challenges you, encourages you, gives you hope, or makes you want to live differently; I want you to share that with someone.
Share it with a counselor or a friend.
I would love to hear what God is teaching you this week, so if you can’t think of anyone to share it with, share it with me!
