1 Corinthians 14

Verse 1

Love is the greatest so pursue it first

Desire spiritual gifts but prefer prophecy

Verse 2

Speaking in tongues doesn’t benefit men since the speaker is speaking to God and no one understands though he is speaking mysteries in the spirit

Verse 3

The speaker of prophecy brings edification, exhortation, and comfort to men

Verse 4

Speaker of tongues edifies himself but the speaker of prophecy edifies the church

Verse 5

He wishes all speak in tongues but even greater still that all could prophecy

Prophecy is greater than tongues unless someone can interpret so the whole church is edified
