The Emperor has no clothes!

We have been told a lie, that evangelism needs to be subtle, that we need to back off to reach the next generation.

While there are a few bullhorn Christians out there, for every one of those there are thousands of Christians who don’t ever share the story of what Christ has done for them with anyone. The LAST thing we need to teach that we should be silent, we are already silent enough!

We need to planting seeds, watering, waiting, and harvesting.

Prayer

Prayer paves the way for evangelism. Not because it changes God or always moves God, but it should always change us.

It should open our eyes to the world around us and center us on the Holiness of God. It should move us into the spaces where God needs to be present and keep us there.

Pray for people (7 Minutes)

Be Creative and Flexible. (Walk, take time alone, while you drive, etc…)

Pray for:

Families and individuals you know

Ask the Holy Spirit to open eyes and soften hearts

Pray for believers in your community to let the light of Jesus shine in and through them

Pray for broken families to be healed, shattered hearts to be restored, loneliness to be lifted, and needs to be met in the power of Jesus.

Ask the Spirit to bring a conviction of sin that creates a longing for the cleansing that only Jesus can offer.

Pray for Workers (3 Minutes)

Matthew 9:35–38 NIV

Philippians 1 NIV

The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, 19 for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. 20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Colossians 1 NIV

1 John 5:1–12 NIV

1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 6 This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9 We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” 55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
