A word about war.

1. Faith to Believe God’s Word (v.7-8)

The success of this battle and every battle Joshua (and we) will face begins the same way Joshua’s ministry did. With the same comforting and affirming word of God that we should not be afraid. Because when it comes to spiritual warfare in the life of the child of God the first obstacle to overcome is fear.
The Amorites were afraid of him
God had promised Joshua He would take him into the promised land.
And here a reminding promise that this battle would be easy

2. Faith to Fight While Weary (v. 9-10)

3. Faith God will fight the War (v.11)

3. Faith to

The armies of Israel have began to engage the enemy and they have the upper hand. God has caused them to panic and now they are running away. But, God didn’t simply promise them a retreat but total victory. So, at this point Joshua has done his part and is fighting as a great leader. But there are limitations to Israel’s army. They are still out numbered, they are still tired, and now the enemy is in retreat and could possibly regroup. This is where I get the most exited with the story. That While Joshua is doing all he can, God steps in handles what Joshua can’t.

3. Faith that Moves God to Work (v.12-14)
