BEING A GOD PLEASER

I THESSALONIANS 4:1

1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

I.                   Pleasing God by Having Faith in & Believing All That God Has Spoken  (Hebrews 11:16 “Pleasing God by Having Faith in & Believing All That God Has Spoken  (Hebrews 11:16 “16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.)

A.     That What God Has Spoke I Will Believe Even Though I Do Not See It

B.     Even If It Is Not Fulfilled In My Life Time

II.       Pleasing God by Wholly Yielding Yourself to God   (Romans 12:1)

III.             Pleasing God By Continually Performing The Duties Of a Believer-Priest     (Hebrews 13:15, 16)      

A.     Offering Sacrifices of Praise

B.     Doing Good & Sharing With Others

C.     Interceding For The Lost

IV.            Pleasing God By Separation From The World & Clinging To God

(II Timothy 2:4)

V.      Pleasing God by Keeping His Commandments   (I John 3:22, 23

          John 13:34, 35)

A.     To Believe On The Name Of His Son

B.     To Love One Another

C.     To Love His Word

God created us for His Glory; our highest aim and aspiration should be to live pleasing God.
